How Your Aligners Journey Works
Clear aligners work the same way traditional braces do — by applying gentle, carefully controlled forces to move your teeth into a better position. But instead of metal, they use clear, flexible plastic.
Here's how we plan it out together:
- Digital Planning: Specialized computer software helps us design a precise plan for moving your teeth from their current spot into their best possible alignment.
- Custom Trays: This movement is broken down into a series of stages. For each stage, a lab creates two custom plastic trays — one for your top teeth and one for your bottom.
- Wearing Your Trays: For the best results, you need to wear your aligners for about 22 hours per day. You’ll move into your next set of trays every 7 to 14 days, depending on your personal treatment plan.
- Gradual Movement: Each new set of aligners in the series accomplishes the next small step of movement, continuing until your teeth are perfectly aligned.
