My daughter loves to come to this office in Columbus. Everybody is friendly and welcoming, such sweet ladies! The entire staff is so considerate. Yesterday she got her braces which she was very excited about. She said that the lady that worked on her was so nice and let her have frequent spit and swish brakes because the glue for the braces didn't taste good.The aftercare was explained thoroughly and my daughter can't wait to go back to change out the rubber bands for a new color.The waiting room is very cozy and there is a coffee station. I brought a book to read because I knew it's gonna take a while.The highlight for my daughter is getting Edney bucks, which the kids get for being on time for the appointment, wearing the Edney shirt, having a great report card, going to yearly dentist checkups, etc.I highly recommend Edney Orthodontics.

What to Know About Your Adult Journey
While we can move teeth at any age, there are just a couple of things we keep in mind for our adult patients to ensure the best possible result:
- Gum Health is Key: Periodontal (gum) health is super important! Any existing gum issues must be completely healthy before we start moving your teeth. We need to make sure you have regular professional cleanings and maintain great home care to keep your foundation strong.
- Jaw Growth is Complete: Since your jaw has fully developed, we can't change the actual jaw structure the way we sometimes can with a growing child. However, this just helps us plan your treatment accurately to focus on incredible smile alignment.
Making Sure Your New Smile Lasts
No matter which type of appliance you choose, wearing a retainer after treatment is absolutely crucial. Teeth can drift back if they aren't held in place long enough for the new bone to settle around them — and we certainly don't want that! We will make sure to instruct you on exactly how to retain your beautiful new smile so that it continues to make you look and feel great for years to come.
